American-made Oldsmobile’s full-sized flagship model, the Olds 98 was produced from 1940-42 and 1946-96.

Being the top-line Oldsmobile, it offered the best technology of its time: Roto Hydramatic automatic transmission, automatic headlight dimmer, Twilight Sentinel, Autronic Eye and the highest quality exterior trim and interior materials.

And the Olds 98 was fully loaded with power: steering, windows, seats and brakes.

Now solely built in Lansing, Michigan, the seventh generation 98 offered six body styles in convertible, 2-door and 4-door versions. Standard equipment featured all the above, plus special wheel discs, clock, padded dash, windshield washer, courtesy and map lights and 8.50 x 14-inch tires.

As a testament to its quality and resilience, when Oldsmobile shut down in 2004, it was America’s oldest surviving automobile marque and one of the oldest in the world.

This true 15,000-mile original has been lovingly maintained by its second owner in central Florida for many years prior to its recent purchase.

Now located at our Tifton, Georgia office, this striking ‘64 Olds is still protected from the harsh weather. There has never been any rust, and the undercarriage shows how clean it is. Also, it is totally original and has never been touched by restoration; upon close inspection, there is no repaint or bodywork.

All panels are laser-perfect. The pristine interior shows no evidence of wear any place, as evidenced by pictures of the carpet, blue leather seats and foot pedals. And, just for fun, an after-market DVD player was installed under the dash.

Its powerful 394 cu in Rocket V8 is controlled by the 3-speed Roto Hydramatic transmission, claiming 345 hp for speeds up to 123 mph. This exciting convertible cruises smoothly down the road at 70 mph with no wandering and will bring a smile to anyone driving it as well as those watching it go by.
